As the title suggests for a bit of fun .....What if you could build your own tractor ?

If you could choose the best parts of any tractor to build your dream tractor what parts from what tractor would you use ?

So for instance .

* CAB
*TRANSMISSION
*ENGINE
*STYLING
*POWER

For our job
Based on our jd7710, keep the engine
Fendt vario trans
Ride like a fastrac
Pull like our T7040
Rear linkage off our T7040
Keep the cab the same but with a left hand side panoramic door
160 horse is fine but maybe just give it another 30 to give it some more low down grunt
Electronic throttle preset
Keep it looking like a 7710

DD9.
Vario jd 7810 with an NH combine cab on it. The cab would need a sunroof for ventilation. Would look horrendous but I wouldn’t care.

Big spacious cab with storage everywhere and a fridge and microwave
Vario gearbox that drives like a hydrostatic(why can they not do this??????)
Manual spools.
The grip and power of 350hp with the maneuverability of 150hp
And of course it has to do 20k hours with hardly a spanner near it

I'm easy pleased

For day to day work, JCB 4220 that’s 100% reliable, maybe another 30-40hp.

For ‘nice’ a JD7710 with 240hp, with a vario box and better suspension.

I’d also like a 3 series Scania V8.

We used to have a 113, P cab rigid. I remember doing a head gasket on it at 990,000. Guts of the engine were immaculate.

Sold it for the unreliable R series we have now.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

John Deere 6910. 30 series consol layout.7.4l Sisu engine without stupid John Deere chassis rails so you get a good steering lock. 50k. 5 manual spools, 3 electric spools front and back through a joystick. 1990s Fendt paint job.
