What mixer wagon tractor

need to find something to sit on the wagon. Cheap cheerful and easy to fix with hammers and swearing. Any ideas? Bought a same tiger but not enough oil to drive the belt. Absolutely gutted.

Needs to be 100+ horse preferably closer to 130hp. 30 cube wagon so fair pull on it.

How reliable are old fastracs? Mx would be perfect but like hens teeth.

Could you upgrade hydraulic pump on tiger you have bought?

Any 300 series would have the oil flow but possibly a little small/light
I don't know much about the bigger/ newer Massey's
How much oil flow do you actually need ?
I wouldn't buy anything too nice, mixer wagon will ruin a tractor

I’m not even sure to tell you the truth. Needs a fair bit to drive the belt I guess and need to be a bit of a lump. Agreed they do ruin them

Will you ever be stopping it between loads?

A 30 cube wagon will take some torque to get it started again even in low box. Imagine it will hold about 13t loaded? Our 24 cube does about 10t load.

I'd want a heavy tractor and airbrakes if using on the road. Depending on your setup, raised passes etc it'll fairly push you about.

Father managed to burn out clutch packs on our fastrac on mixer wagon but mainly because he was driving it about yard full at low revs, putting a strain on everything. The gearbox for pto is external so not expensive to do.

We've a m620 deutz on it now. Was cheap and nobody will drive it for other jobs. Eco 540 pto handy for saving fuel. Easy to change it to 1000 pto to empty it completely.

Shouldn’t need to stop between loads but it would be handy for it to be able to start it say half full. Yeah we’d be up towards 13 tonne fully loaded so a fair lump but no road travel and infact very little travel at all. It still needs to be able to take it well

I like the idea of clutch packs being outside as opposed to inside

Think 130hp would be a bit optimistic on 30 cube. We have a McCormick mc115 on 19 cube and it’s about right. I’d say case mx135-150. Mf 6290 or jd 6920
