I have an iPhone8 which I purchased from @Cowabunga as I ran over my old onešŸ¤¦šŸ»
Due to my eye sight I am thinking of getting an iPhone with a larger screen, just a bit concerned if you find the bigger iPhones cumbersome in overall, jackets pockets .
Thanks in advance for any feedback.
PS trying to a avoiding using reading glasses when posting on TFFšŸ˜‰

They arenā€™t all that bigger physically but the screens are a lot bigger lengthways. I have the same eyesight issue and the text is no bigger on larger phones such as my new 15 pro. Youā€™ve just spurred me on to look in Settings to see whether the text size is adjustable

Edit. Settings, Accessibility, Display and Text Size, press on the text size tab and awitch On and adjust the slider to your preferred size. Iā€™ve just done it but it hasnā€™t altered the size in this text box, so not sure what it does. Time will tell.

Unfortunately text on web pages is not enlarged using the above method. As far as I can see it only works on phone flags and that kind of system stuff.
Try Settings, Accessibility, Zoom and switch it on. Then use a three finger double tap to zoom and three finger slide across the screen to view all text. Bit of a faff but it works on my 15 and hopefully does on 8

15 pro here and canā€™t say the size of the phone is an issue but as has been said the actual text size isnā€™t really any larger despite the bigger screen. Itā€™s easy enough to just zoom in through.
As for using with one hand you get used to it but Iā€™m finding more and more itā€™s just easier to ask Siri to reply, wright messages and search for things.
Personally Iā€™d avoid the iPhone 11/12 as if I remember right they are very thin and itā€™s easy to bend the back plate and crack the screen.

Whatever you choose, make sure your new iPhone has a decent protection box

Just gone from an iPhone 6 to a 14 and bought this :

Put something similar on my iphone 13 , had it a year , its like new underneath, let down of the iphone is the charger port , i charge mine on the wireless stand since new and dont bother playing about with cables. best thing about this phone is that.
