@moretimeforgolf If that statement doesn't come back to haunt you we can all relax.
What are yields like John?An unexpectedly good day today. Cleared 40 acres between 10:30 (18%) and 19:30 (15.5%).
No dryer = no choice. I'm in Kent not Kelso. Rain tomorrow, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday looks dry ...at the moment!@moretimeforgolf If that statement doesn't come back to haunt you we can all relax.

Better look silly early than silly late, every time.

Got seed crops of Oats and Triticale that I'm desperate to get.
Why do you have to double dry at 14%?
To be fair, I am a member of Weald Granary, and their drying charges are reasonable. On the other hand I have lost good cutting weather in the past due to slow collection and I don't like the rest of their charges. I reckon we get a problem with hagberg one year in fifteen, and that would only be on small proportion of that total crop. It is a risk based on what has happened historically. This year may be that problem year but let's not be pessimistic at the end of July! How can you grow milling wheat without any drying facilities on farm or elsewhere?!

Prompt collection from farm whenever the grower wants movement shouldn't be a problem for any central store, especially if they own/lease their own vehicles.
