Curious to see where others have fixed feed for autumn 24-spring 25.
we’ve not covered anything yet and suspect wheat can’t get any lower. Don’t want to have my pants pulled down

Doesn’t really matter as they’ll call force majeure if wheat rises much above your contracted price. Had that game played on us last year.
Oddly, never works in reverse

We’ve fixed until September,

I had a contract i thought would get called force majeure in 2022, priced and fixed on they stuck to their word. If they hadn’t it’d been the last load they blew here!

We're seriously considering a blend of barley/beet/soya/mins
We've the shed to store, and means to get it in the bin, just do not want to hamper cow flow.
3 way blend as above is 40 quid cheaper than the lower end cake quotes.
90 quod cheaper than similar spec cake

we feed blend in parlour at a max of 2kg a head. I suspect you’d get up to 3kg without major problem on cow flow.

That's all I feed in the summer. I add 2-3% molasses to dampen the dust.
Why will it hamper cow flow ?
