Found this sheep kinda lying by herself, was alright yesterday, crunching her teeth, facing dog up and kinda blinky and in a trance you would think. Jagged her but no interest in cake, probably dead tomorrow.
What wrong with this sheep?

Listeriosis I would guess. Look out for droopy ear and slobber.

Two early of twin lmb and lv seen plenty with listeria, not that is a ewe not lambing till April, only have alemicin la so gave her that.
Hypocalcaemia can occur any time if they re under duress.
Red top (calciject 5) at 60 to 80 ml 60 for that one if its smaller.?...and some electrolyte solution / drenched at the appropriate rate with water as well

Pen strep for listeriosis I think....big doses at that.

We use this to help resurrect 'twin-lamb' ewes, but have just been told it's being discontinued by Norbrook and there is no direct replacement. Have you guys n girls got any ideas? cheers

, label says 200ml to 400ml for cattle.
just to be aware...
the equivalent so to speak half rate of that is 60 to 80ml

I’m just quoting my vet who is very very good, told me 400 for cattle so give 40 for sheep. Give 80ml of no 6 usually. Also give proplyne glycol and metacam usually works. If it doesn’t work it gets dexametheson (sp)
yes p glycol drench as well give the whole shooting match
calciject sub cut over ribs in a few different sites is what i do warmed in my in my inside pocket
on the way outjust to be aware of od / comparing like for like thats all.

just to be aware of od / comparing like for like thats all.
similar - 80ml, two sides over ribs, usually drawn into syringe and chucked on windscreen heater, which heats it very quick. Failing that IV in the neck. Metacam when you give calcium makes a big difference.

never bought no6, always just gave full syringe of no5 split in 2 doses in the neck with 1/2” (12.5mm) needle.
