What price is envirobed per ton, and how dow they manage to get 28t of paper on an article?
i convinced my old man to try load of Cozi bed last month and its working well so far. was supprised how cheap it was. spoke to bloke there after he come to the farm apprantly they used to make the envirobed but now doing it themselves and its alot cheaper for the same thing
Depends where you are for haulage costs. EnviroBed was cheaper for me when it came from Penrith because cosi-bed comes from Cheshire so haulage was a killer. Both are very similar price/tonne though.
Yes there dusty but what's good that's not dusty?
I recommend the sawdust/EnviroBed mix. It defo lasts longer like they say it will and not noticed any differences cow health wise.
I'm putting it through a 150 Ag dispenser and works well but I hear the cosi bed stuff doesn't flow as easily
I tried load and getting on well with it. fine with my dispenser was advised by the bloke there that you can use dispenser and he was rite no issuesJust been quoted a price on cosi-bed, doesn't seam to horrendous. What's the issues with in flowing thought the dispenser as I'm thinking of trying a load..??
It was my last load of pure envirobed that was dried by the cosi bed guys that didn't flow well through my Ag dispenser. Was constantly shaking it to get it to drop down. Must have just been dodgy load. Flows better with sawdust in though!
Arh right. Thinking of giving it a try, cows always seamed to stay cleaner when we used envirobed years ago plus we seamed to get better attachments as it didn't seam to stick to there udders as the sawdust tends to. Could be worth a shot.
How do you find it with the sawdust in..?? Is it more expensive and has it caused any more or less udder health problems..??It was my last load of pure envirobed that was dried by the cosi bed guys that didn't flow well through my Ag dispenser. Gonna order a load in sometime next month, see how we get on with it..I wanted to try the cozi bed and glad we did maybe worth a shot

I find it better with sawdust because I bed up once a week and with just EnviroBed, I'd find by the 6th day the cubicles were getting bit short but with sawdust in there's still plenty on the 7th day so think il use less of it. Il find last invoice and see how it compares on price with just EnviroBed. There's been no change with udder health
that must have been same as my sample i got as there was big bits in it.Paper quality same as usual but I opted for the kiln dried fine sawdust as opposed to the larger bits of saw dust which looked like they might get stuck in cows feet and irritate.
