Sitting tight here, not a lot to go in to be fair as everything ended up wheat year just gone, so a lot of breaks and a fair bit of Spring stuff to go in, just working Spring ground now.

Sowed one yesterday , 2 more weekend , not getting caught againI'm drilling sat. made the mistake of leaving it too late hoping for better weather last year and ended up broadcasting the seed on. it was either that or it was staying in the bag
Same here, sowed our 2 fields of wheat this week. Seeds been sat in the bag for 12 months already, not risking leaving it til OctoberSowed one yesterday , 2 more weekend , not getting caught again
Wheat is in row now , Moving along nicely steadily,Better in the ground ,then in the bag like it was last year !
So dry. Won't consider going into such dry seedbeds.
yep, and they are backing off the rain next week somewhat now.
Great drying weather has untouched stubble good to go (with a Claydon) but Trio ripped "tank trap" tramlines are going to be fun and games.
Indeed. Was hoping for grass to go in next week. It still will I think. But not wheat.
Blackgrass land needs roundup at some point, and it's better on in October pre drilling than march pre redrilling.
Most of my seed comes from Lincs , and nay bother with bg here ... brome . that's another questionWell there are a few out now 'placing their bets'. Time will tell. When the roulette wheel comes to a halt sometime in November, or possibly March when the redrill glyphosate goes on, or possibly May when the BYDV / Take All shows up we will know better who judged the autumn 2020 drilling season correctly. What fun. Black 8 for me.
If I’d got soil like that I don’t think I would worry when I planned to drill that! Its ploughing over lovely here with a nice bit of moisture. Plan is to plough another 50 acre for barley and then 40 acres continuous wheat on heavy land that should keep me occupied next week and stop me drilling until after next weekend
I have 3000 lambs to sell you in December, price will be good.Unfortunately it appears so.
