BG is always a problem of some sort requiring a full rate of liberator. Lots more AN and more expensive fungicides. All for half tonne an acre more grain worth less than the barley.....

Glad I got ours drilled when I did and it’s at GS 12-15. With the amount of rain and weather we are having I think it would be struggling to keep going or not take a hit and go backwards.

Drilled the last of mine exactly 4 weeks ago - slight change of cropping plan - and is only just starting to poke through. Growth definitely slowing down.

Our last field drilled after beet on fen land (South lincs), drilled 8th Nov has just poked through in the last couple of days. Thought it hadn't took all that long really for the time of year, but it is almost 4 weeks, similar to yours. Drilled it at 245kg/ha.

No - although am keeping a close look out for our neighbours sheep that seem to spend as much time on the wrong side of the fence than the correct!

They dont seem to bother once the surface is wet and sticky, there were loads around until the weather broke a couple if weeks go and since the surface has always been wet.
