When is it too late to spray docks

Docks are the sizes of dinner plates since 3rd cut and looks like there’s some dry days next week. But with temperatures down to 14-15 degrees is it too late to be spraying them?

Docks need to be sprayed 2 consecutive years ideally not much more than 12 months apart if possible. Spring or autumn can have great effects but it’s well worth doing them the year after or you are back to square one. Speaking from experience

You don’t really believe that removing the top growth does anything more than make it look nice for a week? The OP says that they are ‘dinner plate size’ after third cut, so they’ve had the top growth removed 3 times already, and still coming back (unsurprisingly). ;)
Spray just check for a while unless done regularly (as stated above)therefore increased costs and procedures.

Topping or glyphosate is a waste of time. It will make things worse. I have used many chemicals doxtar pro two separate doses 12 months apart will get rid of them. You can use it half rate and it will still work if you want to save cost.
They have a deep root and produce a lot off seeds which makes them quite resistant. Also it depends on your seed residue in the soil so in other words if they have been in abundance they will likely appear back at some point soon. Fit ground that gets regular muck or slurry with paddle from tractors or stock is very susceptible to them. Just look at reducing them rather than trying to make them extinct you will be a happier person
