This thread demonstrates just how out of touch farmers are with their own industry, if you asked a scrap man with a £500 transit where his copper goes after he has sold it, he would you tell you within seconds.

Ask a farmer who has invested millions where his sheep go after they leave the farm gate he has no idea.

Hopefully things will swiftly change and on farm collections will be uncharged. Things have changed for some of us in the processing industry in the last couple of years (not everywhere I'm told). Bone bin collections at the butchers were charged for but are now free (for us anyway). Maybe even they will swing back round further and we will be paid like generations before. They say things come around?
