which of these would give the best results for grass weed control. Pdm, dff, flufenacet. Half rate of 2 of them or 1/3 of all 3. Does picolinafen do much or would?

Nothing bad yet, just want to keep on top of a bit of black grass and ryegrass on some headlands. In wheat and barley.

Do you have an agronomist? Internet advice is worth what you've paid for it ;)

Picolinafen doesn't add much. PDM and/or Defy helps but really the best base is flufenacet.

Pico and pendi are mainly broad-leaved weed products, but will add something to grassweed control. From your list, flufenacet is the main grassweed product. DFF will do both grassweeds and BLWs, but in the case of blackgrass will only add a little extra control. However, with blackgrass, every little helps.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
