I only ever break shearbolts on hitting a big stone underground, or catching a shallow tree root at speed. It’s pretty robust to be fair, and a very versatile machine working at anything from two inches to ten IME.
Do you take wings off to work that deep??

just to upset everyone how about a Carre Penterra 6m tined cultivator with double U roller. Designed to work between 3-15cm deep. TRP have one to move. Kuhn brought out the Prolander 600 which is a very close machine. Think TRP are looking for £19,500.00 for there machine.

Have you thought of a knight raven we got one 3 Subsoiler legs 4 more legs behind . Pin adjust for depth , then 2 row discs ram adjustable then a decent packer , have shakerator legs that we made to fit , and Simba pro lift too but normally run 3 shaky legs or put other 4 down when on spud. Land It leaves a nice finish and go quite a bit on ploughing on heavy land for beet Pics here on some ex carrot land

Weaving subdisc or a sumo trio
Bought a Tulip multidisc this autumn. It has retractable auto reset subsoiler legs and two rows of 600mm discs. Seems to be well made and does a good job but haven't been able to use since 20th September. Have had to revert to the plough! 3 meter machine which needs at least 150 hp with the subsoiler legs down and is fairly heavy with the big packer on the back, probably similar to a Sumo Trio?

Hi all,
Looking at some sort of cultivator to quicken and cheapen my establishment costs of winter wheat and barley.
Nothing that’s going to break the bank. Always ploughed and Combi drilled.
What’s people’s thoughts on running through with a
Kongskilde Delta
Lemken smargrad
Kverneland clm
Type machine then combi drill behind it?
Or a set of simba discs?
Or a newer type short disc?
It’s a minefield out there.

If you haven’t got blackgrass already then you sure as hell will if you do any min till. Either carry on ploughing or shift to zero till.
