Which size of dual wheels would fit this tractor?

Hi all,

I would like to be able to dual up our JD 3040 and just wondering what size dual wheels would fit it? Would 16.9/R38 be ok? Thank you in advance...

Would go on, but you would lose a bit of the benefit. What job will the tractor be doing ?

Be ok if you don’t need the extra traction, like for a bit of top work such as rolling, harrowing etc.

Why not just fit a pair of 650’s or 710’s on another set of rims and swap across only when needed ?

I know but I want it to have that dual look, I'm getting hassle off my Mrs asking why we need them but I told her it looks cool and will be fun, it's not as if we can spend our money on anything else at the minute

Also good for oncoming traffic. When they see you coming towards them they move over rather than trying to squeeze past

Wont get the same flotation and swapping rims is a massive job compared to fitting duals..... once you have the knack

Except most people put crappy old tyres on their duals ,that were never designed to be run lower than 12 psi ,even when in perfect condition.
