Which Web Presence Provider?

I am currently with Godaddy and can't fault their Help lines.

However, what starts out costing £1 this year will escalate to £50 next year once you have everything set up. I really don't like being blackmailed!

Any suggestions?

Go Daddy is rubbish - avoid at all costs !! they allowed theft of 3 URL's from me and would do nothing about it despite clear proof of serious fraud

123reg or Siteground would be my choice

I have signed up with Siteground and so far it looks straight foreward.

Godaddy did ask for the completion of a feedback form after speaking to one of their people on the Help chat line but I see they seem to have stopped that. That was a good idea as the 'helpers' seemed to be part timers who usually went out of their way to get the problem solved. Some were quite chatty! But I hate the way Godaddy does the hard sell and got me to buy a lot of stuff I don't need at inflated prices.

So thanks for that Clive. I did try 123-reg some time ago but quickly found their help lines keep strict office hours. I also found it difficult to leave. Just discovered Tripadvisor is a nightmare for that. They sign you up for lots of other sites that have to be unsubscribed from individually, a real pain.

Host all mine with 123-reg. never have any issues. They are hot in keeping spam down and the back end for adjusting settings etc are good.
