Could we have a "non" option ? I'm not going to vote for any of them. I was once told by an African that I was lucky to live in a country where I could vote for whom I pleased and would not be chased down the road for making the" wrong" choice, so I've always felt I had a bit of a duty to vote, but not next time.

You got Philip Dunne too? I think he’s awful.
No backbone whatsoever.
The chap is in his 60’s, has no chance of becoming a minister again, has one of the safest seats in the country, helped to run the campaign against Boris being PM (although his choice Jeremy Hunt would have been awful too) and yet seems to spend his whole time towing the party line.
Surely now is the time to stand up for his constituency!

I vote green. They are in favour of local food for local people. I respect people who abstain and there should be and “abstain” should be a choice on all ballot papers. Political parties treat abstentions with contempt because they can argue that they represent people who “don’t care” and are therefore irrelevant. This is very wrong imo.

personally i think burnham is a bigger plonker than starmer ,and that is saying something
For Burnham to be elected as Prime Minister he has to be elected to Parlyament first . That means a by-election in a safe seat to get him elected if its to happen before next GE ....can't see that happening.
Moving on why would a sitting Labour MP move aside in a General Election just to make room for Burnham. There fore I think k it's unlikely that AB will be next PM and I think its even more unlikely that Starmer will. .....
So....who else have Labour got ?

Last evening I joined "The Reform Party,"having been a paid up Conservative for over 50 years. Boris is breaking just tooooo many electoral promises.
UKIP mk3. 😁 But the current Conservative party needs some serious reforming and culling in order to reflect its historically true supporters of the centre right, rather than just being a government for hire by the super rich.

I recon if Burnham got himself into the position of being labour leader for the next GE (as he’s not an MP, it seems highly unlikely) then I would register to vote labour. Otherwise I wouldn’t bother
SIL knows him and reckons he's a good bloke. However, no idea what his stand on agriculture is.
