Back with Kuhn now, axis 30.1 , no fancy electrics as think lights and indicators can be more than enough sometimes with Fert.
Wasn't planning a change but for what we do the numbers work out quite well to buy a tidy 5 yr old spinner for bugger all, keep it another 5 yrs then sell it for 2/3 of bugger all.
At least with urea the rust isnt such a problem

Quite agree , I can't get my head around spending another 9 k on a spreader to do what the muppet that is sat on the seat is paid to do , I have 3 friends who run 'lazy' spreaders and each one of them has lost many fertying days due to actuators deciding to have a day off . I realise that if you do varable rate then you need the technology but it seems that nowadays we have lost the ability to calibrate a spreader and drive at a constant speed
Basic 30.1 is what we use and is a good spreader only weak link for us so far is the head muppet inTelford

2nd wheats done today with 50kg/ha of N, started some 1st wheat 40kg/ha of N on wetter lying fields before the rain, dry and travelled well . Not worried about osr as that will travel before anything else after some wet.

I'm going to tell them I'll only going to pay a pound a ton less in price for every day after the date delivery was set for. Last year they sent me a load of powdery urea and were very good about sorting it out but it still ment I was a week later applying it than I wanted so this is just starting take the pi$$ this year.

I can trump that.

Mine was for delivery by 22nd Jan which is written on the contract. so 26 working days late at £1 per t per day that's quite a discount...

I'd rather have it on time though, I could have had it spread by now.

I had a look around today and could of travelled well. Urea sulphur should of been here by 20th Jan so I'm now rather pi$$ off as I paid a bit more to get it early so I wouldn't have this problem.

Do you think the merchants would be so kind to you if you were unable to meet a delivery time.......by a month!

I would be raising hell and charging/cancelling the contract (as long as the price is favourable)

They have been saying for months that so much fertiliser hadn't been bought, that logistically deliveries wouldn't be met when people finally ordered.
