I haven’t understood this since day one of the outbreak.
Locking down cities and now homes yet allowing international travel of possibly asymptomatic carriers seems to contradict the reasoning behind social distancing and the way it can reduce spread.
And yet even now air travel is unlimited here. There is no mandatory or properly organised quarantine for incomers here and it’s impossible to rely on voluntary self isolation.
We are crippling our economy trying to slow the spread internally yet it can still be seeded by arrivals from abroad.
The whole thing seems balmy to me but what do I know. I am not anti foreigner or anything like that.
Can somebody explain it?
