Why no 'Red Tractor' here

Frankly I don't know if its even worth mentioning Red Tractor. It just causes confusion. Starve it of the oxygen of publicity.

We sold potatoes until two years ago. Nobody once asked about Red Tractor. We did not use it. It was irrelevant. We sell on quality not a badge.
Quality and value is what matters and people soon let you know if something's amiss.

If you really must then you could always add as a footnote to any publicity material - "The Red Tractor quango doesn't run this farm, we do, and the buck stops with us. So if you have any concerns or questions about our products or the way we do things then please speak to us."

Other than that it starts to sound like Rick Mayall's Book, "Bigger than Hitler - Better than Christ."

Its always said that RT and the like is needed till you sell direct then its irrelevant,
Nobody says anything about it, maybe cos nobody knows about it anyway, they don't demand RT in the shops and they won't demand it when they buy from you.
Just ignore it and hope it goes away

I wouldn't mention RT at all. If you mention it in a negative light it makes it obvious you have been forked over by them. Then people might ask why and it gets awkward and difficult and probably raises doubt in people's minds however unjustified this might be.

Just sell your beef on its merits, be open with people, show them what a good job you do. Build trust and understanding.

A lot of sales comes down to personal relationships. We learned that when we sold spuds at the roadside.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
