The evidence suggests otherwise. PR gives small parties undue leverage. That is well understood. No System is perfect but PR is actually over representation of small parties. Do not the greens in Holyrood make demands to the SNP in return for their for their support. It leads to bizarre situations where the largest party by vote numbers can not have any power as a coalition of smaller parties stops it. So the majority get no representation.

As I said earlier I think a case could be made for independence but the SNP comes from Marxist left jingoistic position, and they will be very happy to see a lot of damage to country to achieve it. This is the idea of the "power struggle", the ends always justify the means regardless of any cost.
sorry to pull this back 3 pages but there is a huge error in this argument. The majority gets representation through the coalition of smaller parties, being the largest party by vote numbers usually does not give any guarantees except being allowed to be the first one to try and form a government.

I haven't seen or experienced any of the issues you have or feel the SNP are pushing. Most of the anti English discussion is just a laugh. Remember 50% of Scotland are still unionists, so you are not alone.

I spend a lot of my free time over the border and you don’t often get a bad vibe walking into places maybe the odd pub or a real small village type shop where folk stop and give you the side eye I live 5 mile from the Welsh border you go in a pub you get a different price for pints you go in the shop you get them all talking Welsh when they was speaking English when you walked in there’s more Welsh nationalist than Scots from what I experience

Certainly didn't come across as banter when I was at school anyway.can't remember how many times I've heard 'someone snap the English c***' when playing football.
Best came from a local farmer.my friend bought some land an asked if I wanted to rent it which we did.was at the local show later in the year.said hello to this farmer who replied ' can you stay on your own side of the river or even better just f**k off back down south'[emoji23]

Not necessarily thinking about England/Scotland, but thinking about the idea of banter in general, saying "it's only banter" is a get out, and I am sure anyone being racist or whatever would say something like that. One persons idea of banter can be another persons idea of persecution or bullying. No one should have to put up with only banter.
