How far from water? Could it be otter?Found these in the snow before it melted. The tracks going from left to right were left by a rabbit (for scale). Anyone?

I did wonder about that, could have been dragging something. Looks like more than one set of tracks too.I think you are right. Tracks led from one ditch to the next about 100 yards away. But I was intrigued by the lop sided trail! An otter with a wooden leg?

They're not classed as game are they? If not, no season, blast away. Pick a young one though, wouldn't want it all stringy
