Surely this has nothing to do with any anti-EU spiel. They are, quite rightly, acting together as members of NATO.
So tell me why Macron & the German leader, it's Europe that will be affected so shouldn't it be the leader of the majority of those countries at talks with Biden & Putin?

I can understand Macron trying to negotiate a diplomatic resolution- France is a NATO member but isn't tied to Russian gas as much and also has their own fully functional military.

But again it should be the head of NATO & Biden meeting Putin not some loud mouthed pip squeak & his boss!

Looks like Russians painting white Z 'a on their tanks incase hit with friendly fire???
Will Ukraines paint theirs the same quick???

Russian tanks will be met by a hail of anti tank missiles within the first few days. The Ukraine must be well supplied by now. Unless supported by infantry, tanks in urban locations or heavily wooded areas are easy meat as was seen in Syria many times.

Infantry and helicopters, it won't be as black and white as a guy with a missile up against a tank, the Russians will have thought of that. They'll use their artillery and air power to good effect on any suspect areas. Tough shít to civilians.

Well, as I said months ago, I'm waiting for after Wednesday (defender of the Fatherland Day) which is a public holiday in Russia and Belarus. Nothing like a bit of patriotic wreath-laying and remembering past glories to whip up some domestic support.

Apparently sanctions might be painful for us too but that is what you get when we import food and energy. If we opened up some new gas fields to help supply Europe then Mr Putin will have to suffer the financial pain longer. Meantime we shut them and the coal mines. Our last coal delivery came via Hull from UKRAINE. How crazy is that but I am grateful that someone else is polluting the world. I will sleep easier.
As for squeezing Russian money in the UK, who will fund Boris for the next election?

It's not USSR territory. It's Ukrainian territory.

NATO have allies all around the region. British and American troops train in these countries. Putin will be savaged.
The statement was about the "territory that was a key part of the USSR" not that it currently is. The Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (predecessor of current Ukraine) was part of the group that started the USSR in 1922.

i’m starting to think BJ and Biden want this war more than Putin

felling inevitable and they are just waiting for someone to give them the excuse to justify it now / throw the first punch ?
Yep they will start a war then they will simply stand back & watch what unfolds.

of course Putin did not want a war, he expected the West to calmly agree to let him move in. He backed this on the mistaken belief the Americans had lost interest and most of Europe was too terrified of the consequences of losing gas supplies.
However it is ludicrous to suggest Bo Jo or Biden to want was more is just not credible, for what possible purpose it serve?

In Bojo's case any distraction might save his bacon so plays it up as much as possible, Biden is being led by the nose by people behind the scenes who would be quite happy to see Russia overstep the mark without any cost whatever to the USA.

I think Boris would be very happy for anyone to think, anything he says is, is of any consequence to Vladimir Putin :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
