There are few if any deaths from respiratory virus in the summer in the UK, that's how we have measured the impact of this in the past .
There are few, if any deaths from respiratory virus now, that will continue, same as last year, same as every year.
The post was all about infections, it said infections were equivalent to what the NHS could expect to face from all kinds of respiratory disease in the middle of a bad winter, to which I replied that it couldn't be right as someone said it was seasonal and would die out in summer.
Nobody mentioned deaths so I don't know why you brought them up.

Because the NHS don't have to deal with non serious cases of respiratory virus and deaths are a simple measure of how many serious cases you have.

You would agree that current levels of infection are much lower than in January?

Yep, a lot of folk I see inside their own vehicle alone driving but still wearing that mask. Comfort blanket I call them. Here to stay methinks - shamed by ones 'personal social responsibility' will be the mantra.

Yep, I reckon your spot on. But what gets me is they’re Probably the same type of people who didn’t like Burkas a few years back. Funny old world.

It'd be good if people continue to wear them if they have a cold and they have to go out and about.

Also they should stay in healthcare settings.

But I won't be wearing them in shops once the UK epidemic is declared over.

I'll also be keeping hand sanitiser handy too. Already had a load for the children before this all started.
