Woodland Edges on Grassland?

We have a lot of woods around grass fields. There is a payment on arable land but I cannot see anything for grass.

Can we call these hedges as we cut one side? They of course have trees as well.
I have asked two so called advisors and they gave different answers!!!

why not plant a hedge, claim everything then

why not plant a hedge, claim everything then

Hedges won't grow under trees when planted!
Because we have cut the edges back it looks like a hedge so I guess we can call it a one sided hedge along the wood?
