Hope you find somewhere, and good on you for putting yourself out there.

From an employer point of view, employing under 18’s is not straightforward. I looked at it last year for a “pre-apprentice” (16-17yr old) and the hse and insurance implications made it pretty unattractive. Basically they would need a chaperone at all times, limited on what they were allowed to do, how many hours could be worked etc.

I don’t mean to be pessimistic, but there are those factors to be taken into account, so don’t get too disheartened if you don’t find something quickly. It could be different in the livestock sector where you could tag along with someone and be a 2nd pair of hands.
