Did it have a ROPS ? Instead of an enclosed cab ?

That would be More lower costs if we could just have them and not fully glass cabled airconned electronic fendts ...lol.

Being able to keep using them sound old utes for donkeys years in that relativly dry atmosphere is yet another unfair advantage whereas ours rust out in 5 minutes..

West Coast NZ makes Wales look dry....

3M a year is normal. Slightly further south (Fijordland) it can hit 10M a year, the wettest place on the planet.

Last farm before here had 3100mm I think?
Wintered about 900 cattle all up

Not too difficult but you definitely have to go above and beyond "best practices" - if you want to keep your topsoil from disappearing, or getting f**ked by hoof damage. Little cows float

To be fair there's plenty of places in the UK where you can't outwinter cattle no matter how hard you try. Different ground conditions, soil types, weather patterns and farm layouts. Plus the fact that you'll have a nasty visit from the authorities if you're reported for having stock up to their knees in mud.
As ever, farm to your conditions.

I find how often it rains has more of an impact than how much it rains. I'd prefer to have 4 inch once a week, as to have it spread out over the whole week, at least it has a chance to drain off and dry somewhat.
