Worm and fluke drench interval.

My ewe lambs are due for a first fluke drench of the year, but could also do with a wormer. Not keen on these combination drenches, perhaps a misplaced fear they increase the likelihood of resistance. But how long should I leave between the two doses, days, weeks ?? It would be triclabendozole fluke drench and clear wormer on my farm this time of year.

No problem at all with the combination products, IF they need both actives at that time. The only way it increases selection for resistant worms is if it means you worm them extra times, when they really don’t need it.

If you only have a small number, it’s probably better to just buy the products separately and use what’s needed, when it’s needed. If they need both now, then perfectly fine to treat sequentially, so both at the same time (but not mixed together in a bottle). That’s no different to the animal than giving both actives in a combination drench.
