Wreckers!!

I've seen it before in vids and again in this one above, why are cars parked in the streets? The drivers are going out into the oncoming lanes to avoid parked cars.
If your street isn't wide enough OR marked for parking then someone needs to lay down the law imho

That topper is a hydraulic side shift model. The operating position is as you see in the video, the PTO will be lined up straight into the topper gear box in that position. For transport you're supposed to side shift back so there is an equal amount stuck out each side of the tractor. Its entirely driver error - he's forgotten to move his machine back into the transport position before leaving the field.

Millions of people park on the road sides in the UK even if the lanes are really narrow and people cant drive down the road. Often its because there's no where else to park and they have no driveway or garage. Sometimes its because they can't be arsed to park somewhere safer.
It slows traffic flow massively but no ones bothered.
Catches me out whenever I go back. Everything's cramped, there's no room to manoeuvre that's why they don't have the big US style trucks and pick ups.

Reminds of my boss at my old job. He bought a similar flailmower and went to pick it up, as he made a turn the whole thing went flying to one side and woke him up right quick fast in a hurry. As it turned out the hydraulic cilinder was totally empty out of the factory.
A fine flailmower but he didn't have the greatest of luck with it, I once lost half of the pto shaft as the lock had a habit of sticking. He wasn't to happy but I quickly found the missing part. He did the same once and didn't find it again. All he told me is that it wasn't cheap and I should keep an eye on it...

I could be wrong but i think it is technically legal to park on the side of any main road as long as it doesn't have a single or double yellow line down the side, our local small town has cars parked down the side of every major access route, absolute nightmare to get through but there simply isn't enough parking for any of the roadside houses.

As long as you park with the reflective rear lights facing the traffic on the side of the road you are parked on.

It is illegal to park a trailer on the public highway at night.
IIRC

there's a few more rules than that like so many meters from a junction/brow of a hill etc etc

if it is parked legally on the side of a main road and then another car parks directly opposite it completely blocking the road but no body see's which car was parked first which car would be deemed to be parked illegally?

Can often have artics accessing the towns main industrial site aswell as throughroad to another town having to drive past 20-30 cars parked nose to tail with cars giving way at the top to let them through, total madness!
