I bought a new Kodiak for this season and its great! No gears to worry about, low range to follow the cows in,no poxy lever lock for handbrake,as my Honda. All go forward ,reverse ,neutral and park on one lever.Excellent lights. Suspension does not collect mud badly as a lot of it has cut outs.Water cooled. Also has electric assist steering.Oil easy to check.Yes I'm glad I bought it every time I use it.

Any idea on price difference of the Yamaha compared to a Honda 420 DCT PS?

I did find the Yamaha demo spent a lot of time throwing steam up at me - are there additional covers to stop this happening?

I bought it in December, compared a Honda 420 straight gearbox it was £1100 more,I did wonder whether it was worth it,but after two hondas, albeit second hand,I wanted something better. It is much better!
I specced it with mudguard extensions and long mud flaps.

Looking at the specs the Yamaha ps is a direct comparison for the top spec Honda
Got a Yamaha demo next week so will see

The Honda 420 was its replacement for the 350, so remember this when your comparing price. I would compare a yam 350 to a Honda 420 and a yam 450 to a Honda 500.

Yamaha 350 has rated towing weight of 500kg
Honda 420 rated towing weight of 385kg
Yamaha 450 rated towing weight of 600kg
Honda 500 rated towing capacity of 600kg.

I haven’t looked at a 420 for a while but they are definitely lighter built than a Yamaha 450. Should make them easier on fuel though

What Yamaha did he get? I had Honda from the days of 3 wheelers. I drove a 350 Yamaha, it wasn’t IRS though, and didn’t like it. Drove the 450 grizzly and bought it. No regrets whatsoever. Would happily buy another. Problem is more people are moving away from Honda now and second hand Yamaha’s are holding their money better. They used to be cheaper second hand than the Honda. Not so now from what I have seen

450 grizzly , always having to rev the thing to go anywhere , the Honda you could put it in ES and just have it ticking over to move around

350 isnt fuel injected but the new 450 is. 450 also has independant rear suspension but the 350 has swing arm and single shocker on the rear same as the honda. Also 450 has a wet rear brake in the rear and not a cable operated drum brake.
