This field ploughed up very loose in the autumn and despite being rolled in,it wasn't very tight. we should have rolled it again in the autumn post em but didn't. The recent frosts have heaved the ground up to the extent that you can easily push you heal in 3-4 inches I places.
I will be going over it today with N and polyS.
Ours is 2 row. CassiaThe Syngenta Hyvido varieties need more applied sooner. I used to do 50 kg/ha N in Feb but when they brought this guide out I increased that first dose.
