Whats with the shoeffel bashing - my boys wear smart jeans , crew or similar shirts , leather shoes and their shoeffel when out and look very smart - its a darn sight better than asda jeans and a gillet with some machinery logo all over it . Yes they are expensive but are smart and good to see our kids have some old fashioned values and well mannered - rant over !

I quite agree with you.
Slightly off topic but I am baffled as to why youngsters think it cool (whatever cool means!!!) to where jeans with manufactured holes in them !!!! Years ago parents would do anything to sew up any holes in trousers / jeans etc as holes were a sign of poverty not bl..dy fashion:banghead::banghead:
I also can't understand why some fellows go to agricultural shows etc in their work clothes i.e overalls and workboots:banghead::banghead:

Last Friday afternoon we went to a farm managers wedding receiption and it was great to see all the guests that were from all sectors of the farming community all dressed up and looking smart. We were joking to one another "gosh never thought he/she could scrub up so well", because we were so used to seeing each other in our working clothes.

Whats wrong with looking reasonably smart with a country touch to it? I cant see a problem with it and not exactly funny? I doubt they all wear exactly the same. Its one of those cases that if you start looking for something you will think there is suddenly more than there really is. I can think of much worse ways to dress!

over here there is a definite smart casual rural look, I think its great myself
you lot seem to have a real chip on your shoulder about money or class or position or trying to find reasons to differentiate people, WTF does it matter ?

It doesn't:rolleyes: Is a bloke wearing a suit and fancy car or 4WD that never goes off road really any better than a man with a farm shirt (not polo shirt either :banghead:),black singlet, jeans and a dirty 4WD ute?:D

Posh kids ?
Probably, I did think when I posted it that it wasn’t based on Derbyshire hill farm fashions. You’re more likely to see Horner vest, champion check shirt with the collar up and at least the top 2 buttons undone, gstar jeans, fake superdry hoodie, buckler dealer boots in 3 sizes too big and a chain necklace on the young lads round here, for both work and going out!
Although when I go out with mates it’s always a smart blue stripe or check shirt, jeans and black or brown slip on shoes. Makes it easier to find your mates though if we all look the same

@Whitepeak please can you tell me what that is about over your side of the hill? We are 10 miles as the crow flys but get over that hill and it's a different ball game :ROFLMAO: Noticed it more and more recently

My local yfc (Essex/Suffolk border) is full of posh prats who wear all the gear that's been previously mentioned. In the winter it's skiing and shooting at least twice a week, then in silage and harvest time they become the idiot trailer jockeys. Brightly coloured sunglass, Snapchat, on the phone all the time etc. On the wet days you see them all outside the pub smoking roll ups with the matching schoffels looking right prats. It may seem like I've got a chip on my shoulder but the true hard working young folk of the countryside are not members including me.

I live in khaki shorts, brown combat boots, wicking t shirt and my Ridgeline smock. Baseball cap or thermal hadmtbdeoending on weather. I'll add Oakleys if it's real sunny as well.

I've yet to see anyone dressed similarly at a show or otherwise...
