No rain to speak of here and very warm.
The wind on the other hand is unrelenting, sounds much worse than it probably is due to a row of poplars not many yards away and the log burner whistling like a child learning to play the recorder

Been heavy rain now since yesterday morning and more to come!

Looks like more floods on the way for Cumbria, surprising really as the other times it was rain on saturated ground but the land was really dry this week.

Not enough to wet the concrete here, radar shows that it has slipped to the North and West of us yet again. Wheat on marshes planted a fortnight ago is still as dry as it was when it left the drill, needs a serious soaking before it will emerge.
South East needs to be recognised as seriously dry!!!.

I'm currently in littleport and had some steady rain here. Next to nothing at home when we left, probably had nothing while been away. Proper dry down to a depth at home.ditches dry, drains dry.
Seeing what other parts of the country have had though

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
