Most front pto’s will be 1000 speed rated to reduce the amount of torque going through a fairly small set of reduction gears.Hi
I’ve got a Zuidberg front link and PTO on a case maxxum 120.
Was wondering how you can tell what PTO speed is?
Cheers

If there’s no speed sensor/in cab display as a rule of thumb if you put your rear pto in a 1000 your front won’t be far of the same speed.
I have had a tractor on the dyno using the fpto to test it after a rebuilding the pto unit. Pto never slipped even under full load (180hp). Wouldn’t like to say how long it would last in that sort of load though! On that is there a limit to what you can drive with a front pto
Our masseys say you should not put over 50% of the engine load through the front pto but dont know what other brands are likeI have had a tractor on the dyno using the fpto to test it after a rebuilding the pto unit. The front crank pulleys on a lot of engines are only on a key way so isn’t really designed to transfer high amounts of torque, some use a tapered cone but still wouldn’t want to put a lot of load through it for any length of time! Our masseys say you should not put over 50% of the engine load through the front pto but dont know what other brands are like
