There got to be a witty response to that perhaps we can have a TFF contest to find the best oneCanary seed refused point blank to be threshed. Will try again tomorrow.
got to be one of the funniest bits of telly ever, well if youre a mad farmer that has wanted to do that to kit before it is, I have to admit to tapping my flat eight every time I go baling to tell it to behave or I will get the gas axe out to it
Different world down here. Neighbour cut some wheat today at 28%, then moved on to scrape up some flatish barley. Warm very humid air so limited drying out of standing crops.
if you stick it in a masters drier you can watch it disappear to nowtWhat can anyone do with wheat at 28%?

I'm pretty sure they get a better price up there, there must be at least £15/t transport differential between there and here and £20/25 to you.I don't know how they can farm like that? We're finished by the 2nd wk in Aug all full spec (I hope) no drying and there's still hardly any profit in it!

That difference pays for a fair bit of drying in the wet west...........I don't reallly get that. East Anglia has more supply than demand but there are lots of mills & maltsters there too. None of us are much more than £10 from the nearest port either.
Edit; Just looked up some old notes. BOCM (as they were then) claimed to be coughing up to LIFFE + £2 for feed wheat ex farm in Wales/Shropshire but could pay LIFFE - £7 in the East or South East.
