Local ex. Cornwall Farmers running out of everything. Racking is looking empty and rarely got what you want. You ask to order something and they say they 'don't know'.
New computer system seems a nightmare for the counter staff. Seems to me they are bleeding the branch dry. Loads of staff changes and nobody seems to know what's going on. I can see it closing soon to be honest which would be a shame.
When CW took over they put everything that wasn't in their catalogue on sale and I mean on sale. I bought 3 items which should have been £230 for £25 each. Everything was just binned at 10% of retail price. Ridiculous really. They could have paid a staff member to ebay it all and made way more money. I would have done it for them for a cut. As it was, my £25 bargains went straight on the bay and cleared an average of £170 each.
I went to the "flagship" store at Truro just before Christmas. Was a most depressing sight considering the powerhouse of agricultural merchanting in Cornwall that it once was.
