Hello everyone. My name is Matt and I'm not a professional farmer - I do have a bit of land but we use our land for other peoples horses and dogs, so it's not farming - although we are landlocked by farmers. And I feel a bit of a fraud for being on here.

I run a company that provides advice to businesses in the sexy areas of tax and wealth management! Yes, I know!

Most people lose sleep over tax, but trust me, 30 minutes in my company talking about capital allowances and you'll be dozing off like a baby.

So the reason I joined this forum? Farming is such a big industry in Norfolk where I live, and this is a way of me learning about the issues you struggle with. I'm here to watch and learn.... Also hopefully make a few friends along the way and have a bit of a laugh.

Please, please, please tell me that what you mean by working in the sexy areas of tax and wealth management, is that you've got the bravissimo underwear models on your books:love:
(And that they are all really dejected and unfulfilled working in their trade and want to move to the barren wastelands of Scotland, to the top of a windswept hill and tend to a few pigs and sheep..)

You won't have a laugh on here.... it's shite!;)

Hi i'm Fiona and I'm dairy farming in NZ 460 cows for the last 20 years. My husband, who is a diesel tech by the way, and I also own a tractor & machinery repair business in town (Te Aroha) of which we are looking for 2 tractor technicians! Been advertising here for a while but there's just a huge shortage of good experienced techs. Is there anyone out there who would be keen to pop over to NZ for a job!!! ? We are paying top remuneration and have a favourable package for the right pereson/s. If you're interested or know someone who is please let us know! :)
