Have you ever made may hay in April though :cautious:
Earliest I have ever cut was the 1st may so not quite, it was 2012 when then ground was very dry like now and it was some fresh ground that I had taken that had been cut in june/july year before and left so had quite a bit of dead stuff in the bottom, made well and took a second cut at the end of august and got stuck with the baler. Aiming to cut one bit next week if the forecast is good as it has a fair bit on it unlike all the rest of the PP, the power of well rotted muck spread in sept on that fireld, the new leys ok but they are for haylage

Any body cutting any hay now?
Sun is shining / wind is blowing. Forecast not looking too bad here.
Fed up to the eye teeth of politics and election fallout.
So I think I'll go and cut a field this afternoon.
I've heard of recreational cultivation. This will be the same, but mowing.

seeds ?
i guess frank will have some down this next week

Been mowing Friday, Saturday and today. Below average yield meadow grass, should make well in the wind and sun. Top already dry of what I mowed Friday. Looks like a decent back end of this week and into next week, but thundery breakdown due middle of week commencing 19th, so only a brief window I think. Just need to decide if I knock down another block tomorrow.
