No 1/2" at most. It's the same type of spool that's used in the bell housing to control the multi power and on 525/625 super2 combines to control the table throw out clutchAbout 2 inches
Ok I have had a tug tractor was parked up and it moved a bit so pull out for 4wd push back for 2wd?No 1/2" at most. It's the same type of spool that's used in the bell housing to control the multi power and on 525/625 super2 combines to control the table throw out clutch

Diff lock pedal moved a bit, do you depress to lock meaning you can't use brakes or foot throttle while engaged and it should unlock when released? One sticker I did find was about pressing clutch if diff lock failed to engage
This little lever is stuck what does it do?
Apart from its in low if you have a slope drive down it and see if the engine holds the tractor back or does it free wheel ie get faster if so i would get it into hi as my other post undo lever near gear box and try moving it there
No idea but current is its used for beach launching boats
Many thanks will have to test the 4wd function another time I did get coupler back on and secured with a papaerclip! Didn't have a long yet thin enough cotter pin......
That lever operates the Multi-power
Its a hi and low splitter in each gear in low it will free wheel down a hill (as in no engine brake or engine holding tractor back and in hi its just normal you have no need to use the clutch )when changing but as its stuck i wouldnt worry

Yes it does freewheel down slope and that is not ideal so that lever takes you from 1-1.5 and 2-2.5 gear ratios it seemed pretty well stuck I'll try and follow it down to the box next time I am there, this is where it being 30 miles from home is a real pain.
Don't take this the wrong way but given your level of knowledge I would be getting a third party to look at it and the invoice for the work carried out to see what should have been done when it was apart.Hmmmmm is it likely the lever or something internal?
My concern is we paid a lot of money in the last 12 months to have thrust bearing replaced I think tractor may have been split ? Was out of action for a good few weeks yet still lots of issues machine was bought from a trader 12 months ago and i think we were had......

Here is a photo @towbar As for what we spent I am chasing invoices, how it has changed from when it was bought I don't know, we pay to gphave it "marinised" but the seat has been replaced in the last few months with an old bus seat........have you a picture of the tractor and roughly what you've spent on it

You could go back to the mechanic but I know what I think will happen given the basic stuff that isn't working .
If you end up drawing swords you will need reports drawing up anyway so you might as well move to stage 3 IYSWIM.
It doesn't look too bad but you'd have to question an assessor that didn't note those things for your group when buying. While I agree you don't need all singing all dancing features - it needs to be safe and multi power in low is an issue unless it has being disabled totally which by the sounds of it it isn't and in those conditions I think 4wd working is essential
