So do Arla look at Miller's price and say mmm lets top that as we are closer to the real-time information?
Even coops can if they want to follow the voluntary code.
No coops pay as much as they can. Companies pay as little as they can get away with. By leaving the decision late it helps coops pay as much as they can without a delay for the farmer. Muller's price is totally irrelevant to what Arla pay. Surely the same applies in OMSCo?
