It’s funny as the Massey cvt I had on demo last week was awful for over revving going down a slight hill on the road with Empty bale trailer yet my auto power Deere yesterday same trailer same hill take foot off throttle and she would just cruise along nicely and not over Rev

I've found it pretty good on pedal mode for trailer work. Where it over-revs for me is in stick mode doing cultivation, I always have to be careful when slowing down or it'll rev its nuts off for 1-2 seconds. CVX I had used had no issues with that, move the stick back a bit and it just cruises down to the speed. I also think it needs a ratio between high and mid range for acceleration/agressiveness, high is too sharp and mid is too slow.

We have just priced a new jd 6130r against the equivalent sized Case, Newholland, and Massey and the JD came out at the same price if not cheaper than the rest!!!! New holland dealer wanted to see JDs quote because he didn't believe us....... few days later he came back with his tail between his legs and said he couldn't even match John deere on price.
Was there much difference between the case and new holland

Then they're out of their minds, JD gearboxes are terrible IMO. Admittedly I've never used a DD or Commandquad. But Powerquad/Autoquad and Autopowr are worse than the CNH offering.

There are 3 nh with gear boxes laid

in bits with in 6 miles of me
Even recon ones on eBay .
Our Combine contractor has 3 broken down out of 6
1 brakes
1 gearbox
One electronics
That is 50% of his fleet
He is sick of them
So cheap for a reason

Most people don't know how to run Cvx. Never should you ever use the transmission on road with other than the slowest response setting, otherwise the clutch packs are in a world of hurt when you lift your foot from the drive pedal. John Deere's (of older days) are well-known for "small" incidents with Autopower.

They do have one flaw, why do they mix their transmission and hydraulic oils?

My view on Case vs Nh is that why would i buy a Nh, when Case has much better armrest and a nice little cold storage pocket that fits two large bottles whereas Nh has an outdated dash replacing it. The price is exactly the same, because in our part of the world the same dealer sells them both. Multicontroller is also superior to Nh's drive stick.

I also think the Case looks better and commands a very slight premium from a residual point of view.

What brand have you bought?

So far a cvx but still looking for something else.

We’d really like a 6190M Deere with front end loader but with air brakes which you can’t get, so that’s not an option either unless we add them as an after thought via a 3rd party.

I thought as of the start of this year all new tractors have to have air brakes, it’s a eu legislation?
