You seem to imagine that the EU gives a toss about the UK outside the club. They are not the ones that won't negotiate. It is Boris that refuses to talk with them and there is nothing to talk about anyway considering the refusal to accept the backstop and the UK wanting its cake and to eat it all.
The EU are quite willing to let the UK go without a deal and politically, if not quite economically, they are now overwhelmingly of the opinion that it is 'good riddance'. In fact it is far from certain that they would even grant an extension now even if the UK asked for it.
You have a sadly exaggerated idea of the UK's importance in the world and certainly to the EU. This doesn't surprise me as it is a well known English trait and that is not being racist, it is stating a well known fact.
The ones in South Wales that actually received the greatest benefit from the EU. You couldn't make it up. The sink estates full of the unemployable were out in force voting, even in my Ceredigion county ward, many for the first time in their lives, for brexit. To make the UK and themselves poorer.Steady it was your fellow Welshmen who voted out in numbers.
Thankgoodness theyve got more common sense in Brecon and Radnor recently.

But that's only because the Leave vote was split between the Tories and the Brexit Party.
Who would you prefer as Head teacher of your child's primary school. Priti Patel or Dianne Abbot?
90 % of farmers who I speak to and I speak to a lot voted out . We all know that it was Aberystwyth University Town that kept us inThe ones in South Wales that actually received the greatest benefit from the EU. You couldn't make it up. My own county actually voted to stay in despite the unemployables being dragged out to vote and actually obeying the wishes of the multi-millionaire, Eton educated toffs that promised 350million per week extra for the NHS [printed bold as you like on a big red bus].

Your extreme views are in a minority in the farming community I'm afraid, but then the hill sheep me will be worried by it all

They are very slow to wake up and many are sleepwalking.A lot of farmers are now belatedly waking up to the fact their farming days may be coming to a close.
So I see this morning that the USA / UK trade deal, has sunk into the swamp!
Meanwhile the easiest trade deal in history with the EU, is stuck in neutral. Pesky Europeans haven’t crapped themselves and aren’t showing any signs of so doing!
And meanwhile still, the extended “family” of commonwealth countries most notably Aus, NZ and Canada, aren’t exactly asking where exactly they should sign!! Bloody families, eh!!!
Take a moment to appreciate the effectiveness of Liam Fox as trade minister. He did after all deliver the notable deal with the Faroe Islands. Perhaps Boris should ask Cummings for permission to bring back Fox. If only to deliver one more mega deal like the last one.
they cant sign anything with anyone until we leave , its against EU rules to do any deal without other member states approval, we are still in the club until jan that doesnt mean negotiations arnt going on behind the scenes .So I see this morning that the USA / UK trade deal, has sunk into the swamp!

I was disappointed that a brief report of talks stalling between Msr Barnier and Mr Frost was relegated to page 10 of The Times on I think Monday. Was saddened this was not given more prominence. Presume WTO end of December. Off the general radar now. Am just assuming the sunny uplands are just over the December hill.
Presume Jonny Depp and Amber Heard bedroom proclivities and the dogs toilet habits of more interest to the general public.

Weren't Canada very keen to get a deal negotiated, ready for when we leave the EU...
Right upto the point it became obvious we were headed for No Deal, then Canada lost interest in negotiating. They know their position is much stronger if we are out with no trade deals. I'd suspect most other nations to take a similar view, and rightly so.
The government has stated that they intend to leave either way, but would prefer a an agreement of mutual benefit to both parties.
This remains the same irrespective of the situation with Canada or anyone else. Negotiations are undoubtedly underway with other countries, too.
Why is everything so negative all of the time?
