Tory wipeout in scotland???

No, you're still confusing things.
The GE gives the SNP the majority they need to say they have a mandate for a referendum. The GE result is no gauge to that referendum result because it was a GE, where you vote for political parties.

The vote for/against SNP is NOT a reflection of for/against independence... There are voters who will have voted SNP who will vote NO in a referendum, just like there are voters of Tory, Labour, LibDem and Green who will vote YES in a referendum.

By your own logic, this GE was a 2nd Brexit referendum and despite the Tory wining the election - Brexit just lost...

You're being deliberately disingenuous.
I’d be sad to see Scotland leave the union but if that’s what you all desire, then so be it. You’ve earned the right for a second vote I guess, but be careful what you wish for. As others have said Scotland would be a minnow in the EU and wouldn’t they have to adopt the Euro as a new member?

The only present circumstances where you have a significant voice at westminster is where you are propping up a minority labour govt. Previous Scots leaders did well for you, look how Gordon Brown broke the mod budget on two aircraft carriers built at rosyth as a prime example
Would those be the aircraft carriers whose final assemby was done at Rosyth with modules coming from several places in the UK?

During a speech on 21 July 2004, Geoff Hoon announced a one-year delay to allow contractual and cost issues to be resolved. The building of the carriers was confirmed in December 2005. The building is being undertaken by four companies across seven shipyards, with final block integration and assembly at Rosyth:

It’s not.

No we haven’t. We were promised it would be once in a generation, so not for a fair bit of time yet thanks.

and wouldn’t they have to adopt the Euro as a new member?

No, we wouldn’t. In fact it would be tricky to meet the acceptance criteria unless we had our own currency first, so perhaps even two changes very quickly, if we did.

People of scotland that want a referendum must be nuts, boris is going to lavish money on you but you want to vote to become a minnow in the eu:banghead: Just to massage jimmy crankie's ego. Crackers.

I am almost certain that Jimmy Cranky would oppose independence. And as far as I know, there isn't a single impartial poll which shows that there is a majority support in Scotland for independence.
If anyone knows of one, can he or she provide a link.

In the event that an official and legal Referendum gave a small majority in favour of leave, then to use the SNP's own words, the Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway would not be dragged out of the UK against its will.

My understanding is that the SNP do NOT represent the majority in Scotland.

It's very easy to slip into blaming the Scottish .. when in reality it's the SNP who are extreme.

I don't pretend to know what Boris will do BUT if he could victimise the SNP whilst supporting Unionists .. then that's the way forward.

The alternative would be making the SNP accountable but that could back fire.

Jimmy Crankie is playing a game of high stakes with Westminster & the EU .. attempting to milk both for the most money.

IMHO Boris just won't bother playing.

Conservatives need UK voters .. Conservative regions in Scotland MIGHT get special dispensation .. but the SNP regions can be forgotten.

Yes, some blocks were manufactured in England, Govan, Scotstoun and Rosyth however are to the best of my knowledge north of the border. Your own list shows a Scots content rather more than the 8% that would be an equal share

I don’t think that will make any difference. Clearly the SNP want independence whatever. So maybe the clearest way is to ask the population again and if they say “No remain part of the Union” what’s left for the SNP to fight for? I still think they should stay but if another ref’ is turned down by Boris, we are going to see endless amounts of nippy on the TV arghh!
