Agreed but there are people saying a car going down a road minding it’s own business should stop when a tractor shoves a front mower/weights into traffic out of a field
I had to regularly take a loader tractor out of a blind junction on my middle year from college. You are not comparing like with like.
Plus a loader can be lifted up out the way of traffic when coming out a blind gateway.
Sadly there are a good few that "think" like that, same as flying past dustcarts and ice cream vans, I can't pass if I haven't at least got an axle viewEvery driver should be able to stop when the unexpected happens. Isn't that just common sense?
Would you drive at 30mph past a school as the kids were coming out and say "well, they shouldn't be in my way" when you run them over?
Have a 4 cross way on a busyish B road get them overtaking a vehicle turning off a main road. Don't even think for a minute someone maybe joining or crossing that road when they go past at 60mph!Sadly there are a good few that "think" like that, same as flying past dustcarts and ice cream vans, I can't pass if I haven't at least got an axle view

in situations like this when you have to pull out blind into the road perhaps it would be wise to put a sign in the road, you can buy foldable ones that don't take a lot of room, I would suggest someone stand in the road but a/ there isn't anyone about usually or b/ he or she would get run over
This is getting silly nowEvery driver should be able to stop when the unexpected happens. Isn't that just common sense?

Whats your recommended safe speed limit for someone emerging from a blind gateway?
Any advance on zero mph?
I do agree, more tarmac farming + more speed = more accidents, but there must be thousands of car accidents every day, and that doesn't lead to calls to reduce speed limits, nor ban cars. These trailers being tipped over all and sundry on open roads in good conditions and with no other vehicles involved is giving the industry a bad bad image. I've said it before and I will say it again people need to ease up and stop being 50k heros or there is going to be legislation shackled onto the industry in no time.
Agreed. It would be lovely to get back to a picture thread about other peoples misfortunes, without having to wade through 12 pages of 'The Kangaroo Court of TFF'.getting a bit circular now .
getting a bit circular now .
Put the question the other way.
What speed would you blindly pull onto a 8ft 6 wide road with 16ft tall hedges tight to each side of the road?
Just asking for people to be careful, not telling them off for driving a tractor. we had a blind pull out, so I moved it if that needs doing then do it
Our farmlane had poor visibilty to the left when leaving so we dug away the banking and planted a new hedge further back - before an accident not as a regretful afterevent
