So, are some people saying it is safe to drive at a speed that means you can't stop suddenly in an emergency?

I think what we are saying is someone shoving their front weights/mower/loader into the road and expecting others to stop and let them out considering all the technology to make that safe isn't an "emergency" its bloody inconsiderate.

Most off these accidents are due to speed and unexperienced drivers tipping over etc

Regard the junction accident if the person in charge was doing a risk assessment like they should do the fact its a danger off accident this should off been picked up
Ie use signs and cone a metre or two out from gate etc etc or use a banks man
There is only so much you can get away with untill its time for a lot more rules and regs

Its down to the owner or manager to stop all these accidents they employ these drivers

Good job I don’t do that as two weeks ago I had a motorcycle go around my tractor and rake and wobble and rider dropped the bike immediately behind the rake. Thank goodness he and bike were fine.
And yesterday when hauling bales two later primary school age kids were out with bicycles riding down the road like idiots at a local village when one lad decided to mount a kerb and seriously misjudged his manoeuvre and the bike stopped dead and the poor kid done a superman impression along the pavement and the bike bounced out into the road. So best to drive to be able to stop

I have just had a Google to see if there is any anti roll over protection for agri trailers .
There seems to be not a lot of help in that department. Would a dump truck type barrel between tractor and trailer work or would the extra weight and cost make it not worth doing.
At least the tractor would be saved in normal turn over accidents. There maybe a few quid to be made in it for uk fabricators .

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
