Just cross out the sex and write the correct sex on passport and send it back to bcms. They will reprint and return it.I have made a mistake with 6 month old calf on passport from Bcms. I will contact them tomorrow if their open, just wondering if any one else ever had this problem and likely outcome when dealing with them. Genuine mistake.
Thanks.
Can someone explain why it is necessary to have the sex of the animal identified on the passport?
But they don't query why a beast looks six months' older than the birthdate on its passport. Our local mart hexham wont sell them on the wrong passport seller has to take them home and change it why should the buyer have the problem
Just jumping in on this thread. Bought a suckled calf last autumn, it’s a heifer but only realised today that the passport says male. I’d usually just send it back to BCMS but the thing is, the animal is meant to be heading to a store cattle sale tomorrow. She’ll just be stuck here on her own if I keep her back to get the passport changed or should I just do that to play it safe?? Many thanks
