I don’t know - I’ve never poured through it line by line.
But if you are a member you can find out here.

OK will put it another way.
The constitution says that the NFU has 'affiliate members'.
I have, as an NFU member, emailed my regional office and asked what sort of bodies/ individuals would be affiliate members. Having had no reply, I wondered if you could shed some light ?
Make sure you get the right email as don't forget they are now all working from home and may only check their own email and not the group email account.
Well I’ve tried but clearly failed.
So I’ll leave it there.

So I’ll leave it there.
So have I.
And I won't.
With data protection these days can’t see any way that they will tell you who the affiliate, if indeed there are any, members are.
Next week’s topic - insurance !
I thought I’d gone through this. There are sub- categories of membership like Countryside, NFU Pro, Student but they have no influence in the democracy.
I spent eighteen years working in various roles at the top end of the NFU. The NFU meets with a huge diversity of organisations from green NGOs to retailers, from banks to academics, from the supply industry to churches - but the idea it is secretly or clandestinely run by these organisations is utter bunkum. The core of the NFU are it’s farmer and grower members.
But if you think I’m dishonestly covering something up I really can’t be bothered to spoil the conspiracy theory you obviously enjoy spinning out.
Still waiting for views on soya usage,
resulting in bio diversity being greatly reduced by
the destruction of the rainforests.
What's your views on this Guy?
REALLY simple question
does ANY money whatsoever from retailers, processors, Ag input or machinery manufacturers or agent EVER end up in the NFU account ?
a simple yes / no is all the reply to this post needs to contain
There are paid for adverts in BFG and sponsorship of conference. But this doesn’t influence policy positions.
And not to mention serious and growing problems with human health from consuming soya products directly, soya oil being by far the biggest vegetable oil in the US and also the worst of all the industrial vegetable oils for human health. Soya is basically the work of the Devil and shouldn't be grown under any circumstances. But then they'd grow something else which would be just as bad.I agree there are real environmental issues with the soya protein - and to really complicate matters U.K. farmers use a lot of it and what’s more as most of it is GM or is grown with pesticides banned in the U.K. then it’s illegal to grow it here.
What are your thoughts on the fact that soya is grown primarily for its oil content and that the protein element used by farmers is merely using a by product ?I agree there are real environmental issues with the soya protein - and to really complicate matters U.K. farmers use a lot of it and what’s more as most of it is GM or is grown with pesticides banned in the U.K. then it’s illegal to grow it here.
And cattle and sheep use little compared to pigs and poultry, but beef tends to get the blame. What are your thoughts on the fact that soya is grown primarily for its oil content and that the protein element used by farmers is merely using a by product ?
Exactly and don't forget it has a wide readership following it so perhaps we should return to the National Feedlot Association's ambitions and neutralising any talk of "derogations" for proper farmingOops, this appears to be turning into "while your here......."
