What does everyone use for washing out there livestock trailers ? Anything bigger than a standard power washer ?

A volume washer as used in milking parlours is the dab for cattle trailers

Volume washer but be quick don’t let it get dried on or it has to be pressure washer after that .

Have a look at Whisper pumps in Newark. Competitive prices and good service. I think they advertise volume washer kits in the farmers guardian.

i use a pto pump decvice, its green and italian and delivers lots of litres per minute, will check the make and report back

Volume washer, pressure washer a pain if a lot of sawdust is to move out.

My cousin had a volume washer with a 20 horsepower motor on it delivering to a fire hose for his 4 deck sheep truck. I saw a contractor just after he used it to clean his Cat dozer, he looked shell-shocked and could only mutter "what a flippin tool"!

until you run it dry then it's knackered in short order.

Simple - don't run it dry. I have one being used several times a week for 6 years now. Never had a problem.
Like anything - look after it and it will last

I just use the spinny concrete washer end on the pressure washer and don’t get to close

Not really as the problem is the volume of water/throughput. The best compromise is a hand scraper and pressure washer, next best option would be a volume washer (we use both, volume washer is used 95% of the time)

Would an ibc be suitable for a volume washer with a hose into it?
