Whats the carbon footprint of people who live twenty miles or more away from work
Doesnt really matter, its all energy burnt for nothingHow long is a piece of string?
It would depend on mode of transport.
The numbers sharing that transport [if not self-propelled]
The source of the energy to propel the transport.
The type of route taken.
Doesnt really matter, its all energy burnt for nothing
Good question.Whats the carbon footprint of people who live twenty miles or more away from work
....to free up some line capacity so they can fit more freight on.Apparently it's fine to live "up north" in England, but work down in the South....
.... Or is there some another justification for HS2?
Bit like anti vaxxers here. I heard an employment expert on talk back radio saying people layed off for refusing to get vaccinated, shouldn't be allowed to claim unemployment benefits as a major part of that is when you sign on you agree to go to job interviews they provide for you. Now no one can employ you if your not vaccinated, so your in breach of your agreement with centrelink that handle the dole payments.....Good question.
Is that why some Extinction Rebellion members chose not to go to work, they are saving the planet?
Hold on,cut off their social benefits some of them will starve to death!!
Or people that send their kids miles to school every day because the local school isn't good enough for their little darlings.Whats the carbon footprint of people who live twenty miles or more away from work
Isn’t that what farmers have been on the receiving end of lately, faring cows are portrayed as one of the biggest environmental problemsI suppose the easiest way to justify things you do is to put someone else down for what they do
Yes you do use the internet far to much, see all the energy you are wastingI suppose the easiest way to justify things you do is to put someone else down for what they do
I think every group gets it TBH. Modern society seems based on the premise that some other bugger is to blame, a way past personal responsibility perhaps? Then we're justified.Isn’t that what farmers have been on the receiving end of lately, faring cows are portrayed as one of the biggest environmental problems
So they can run half a mile on a treadmill !!!I have seen some driving a half mile to the gym.
Simply because the economy comes before the climate. Not just petrol but the whole city economy depends on commuters using the sandwich/coffee shop or buying stuff they don't need .its ok tho because we can charge them more tax on petrol to fund climate change projects and we can also rase the minimum wage to help pay for the price rise in the fuel , much better for the treasury bank balance to do this than anything actually worthwhile.
As I made comment the other day, maccy d’s currently have an ad running on the radio for its latest burger, the last line of which is something like “better get the car out”I have seen some driving a half mile to the gym.
