Week old lambs currently making £40/45 head, did see a black one the other week make £50.We lamb late March through April. Cades are £10 each no picking. If someone specifically wants ewe lambs and they aren’t a good friend it’s £20. When we get too the ewe lambs and want rid of twin lambs, that’s when the creative deals appear!

£25 I would say end of feb. If you can get that you are doing ok imo. Not enough at a tenner end of feb this year. People will think they can make their fortunes atmSomebody I know has asked if I would sell the spare triplet lambs once born, they will attempt a twin on or bottle rear. How much is a pet lamb worth ? Used to always be a tenner or something but given the value in sheep nowadays possibly more ? I don’t know.
They think that every year… yet not many come back for a second go. 4/5 years ago a fella came and took 12 @ £10 each. 5 days later came back for another 8. When asked how the others were doing, “oh we lost 8 in 4 days” they were good lambs when he took them. After careful questioning I found out he had put them in the Croft by the house, no shelter, a bottle of milk morning and night. Now there has been some sharp frosts overnight. Poor little buggers froze too death. I assumed as he had a holding number and had kept sheep before (he claimed) that he had half an idea what he was doing. Needless too say instead of 8 more lambs he got a very severe bollocking and told too get out now. (With a bit more emphasis).£25 I would say end of feb. If you can get that you are doing ok imo.
