Hilux auto box jammed

Got to retrieve a contractors hilux from the field after his auto box jammed and it won’t move. Anyone got any insight before it goes to garage for a very expensive repair? Not sure of age but fairly new. 17 plate?

If its jammed solid ,you might have to take the prop shaft off to move it .

I thought those Aisin auto boxes were strong and durable, according to the resident Quack
No doubt he’ll know what’s wrong …

Plenty of mud to lubricate so I’m inclined to just give it a gentle tug. AA will recover once it’s on hard standing

if been serviced at a toyota garage it will be still under warranty

Just lift the back up with the loader and pull it backwards.

If 4wd is in ,it will snap the transfer box

Best make sure its not!!
Maybe front diff is blown

I’m sure there is something in instruction book about it as there is a small bit of plastic on gear selector surround that can be lifted up to access something.sorry I can’t be more specific.maybe a call to dealer may help

On my Navara ,there's a button marked Shift lock which if you press when the engine isn't running ,means you can move gear lever from parked to neutral .

Toyota handbook is pretty sh*t in my experience....... The "index" at the back is a real sense of humour test!! (2021 machine)

It was just the Elec park brake jammed on and wouldn’t disengage.
Dragged to concrete for AA to sort from there
